After twelve wonderful years in their home, my clients at Gold Bug Way were ready for a new chapter. As remote work became more of a constant, they realized they were growing out of their space and wanted something with a lower-maintenance lifestyle. Once we found them the perfect next home, our focus shifted to preparing their current one for market.
Though beautifully maintained, the home needed a fresh, updated feel to stand out—especially since there were nine other ranch-style homes for sale in the community. We started with all-new interior paint, new carpet, and updated lighting to modernize and brighten the home. We also re-stained the fence, completed several handyman projects, and finished with professional window cleaning inside and out, which made the home feel remarkably clean and well cared for.
Once all of that was complete, the property received professional cleaning, staging, photography, and videography—all the finishing touches that make a home truly shine.
Because inventory was strong, we knew our pricing strategy mattered. We decided to price at the higher end of our range, confident that the preparation and presentation would support it—and it did. The home went under contract in just 10 days, proving that thoughtful preparation and attention to detail can drive results, even in a competitive market.
The end result was a beautiful, move-in-ready home that felt fresh, timeless, and full of warmth. It stood out among newer construction homes and reminded buyers of the lasting quality and craftsmanship this community is known for.
